Friday update

It is Friday about noon and I am so exhausted. Harper had a bit of a rough night, nothing serious, he just got very agitated when the nurse would come in and mess with him. The plastic surgeon was in again this morning and still seems pleased with the progress Harper is making. He continues to improve in the swelling department but he actually looks a little worse because of the color of his burns on his face. It is all normal healing going on but it is just going to look bad for a while. They sutured his breathing tube to the roof of his mouth because they can't tape it to his face. It sounds horrible but is the standard for burn patients. We are just comforted by the fact that the tube won't get pulled out by accident now. Brent is hanging in there. He talks the ears off of the staff here with his questions and comments but the staff is just awesome and don't seem to mind. We are so blessed to have such an amazing hospital and group of doctors and nurses here to take care of our angel. Keep praying!
